Abbey Communication Newsletter - March 2014

A good start to 2014

We have had a very busy winter at Abbey Communication with clients from Henkel, Mitsubishi Electric, TMEIC, BMS, Siemens, Cera Treves, Lear, Inform, Daiichi Sankyo, Affymetrix and others. We have helped develop their English skills for a range of professions, including pharmaceutical sales and research, engineering, project management, facilities management and financial management. We continue to welcome course participants from all over the world to our lovely town of Malmesbury, in the Cotswolds.

New developments

At Abbey Communication we pride ourselves on the high quality and continuous development of our training. This year we are launching some new training products. Firstly we are proud to announce our Certificate in International Communication, which can be studied in conjunction with or separate to immersion training. Details will be on our website soon. If you'd like further information please email Alex at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Secondly, we are now able to offer Skype and On-Line training as an addition to our immersion courses. We have introduced our Immersion Plus and Immersion Gold packages which include this blended learning approach.

Louise Chamberlain, pictured above, who has been working with Abbey Communication since 2011, is taking the lead with our blended learning offering. Louise has worked with a computing services company in the past, and is keen to develop our on-line services. If you'd like to find out more you can contact Louise on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Connecting with clients

Our directors, Alex and Sarah, have started 2014 with visits to clients in Europe. Alex went to Paris to visit our agents and to Normandy to visit our partners there, LIC. LIC gave Alex a wonderful welcome. She even managed to speak some French, which was a good reminder of just how our course participants feel when dealing with situations in English! Sarah has just been to Barcelona for a conference and reconnected with some contacts in Spain. International companies are beginning to invest more in training, and we are looking forward to the rest of 2014. Last month Alex also attended a conference run by UKTI and JETRO, which focused on help for UK companies doing business in Japan.
