Abbey Communication Newsletter – August/September 2013

A great summer!

We’ve had a great summer here at Abbey Communication. The weather has been fantastic, and Malmesbury has hosted some wonderful events. In July, our clients enjoyed the WOMAD festival (World Music and Dance). In August we saw some of our great local musicians at an open-air concert and last Saturday was carnival day in Malmesbury. It was a beautiful sunny day, and the carnival procession was great fun! Abbey Communication was very proud to sponsor the carnival workshop, and one of our favourite pubs, the Whole Hog was the overall winner.

We are also delighted to welcome new trainers, Lorna Butcher, Diana Boulton and Fiona Petrie. They are all very experienced in training and business, and have made an immediate positive contribution to the team.

Meanwhile, our first month of managing the business has been very successful, with excellent feedback from all our course participants. Our host families continue to create a real “home from home” atmosphere.

As autumn approaches, we are looking forward to a busy few months in our training centre, and to welcoming new and returning clients.

In other news: Alex is going to Oxford on Friday September 6th to receive her Masters degree in Management. Alex has completed her Masters with the International Management Centre, an association which specialises in Action Learning. In the future Abbey Communication will be working in partnership with the IMC to offer a qualification route for our clients – we will tell you more about this shortly.
