English Training for The next generation

Vehicle powertrain quality manager Patrice Marcon and his wife, facilities manager Françoise Dagand, trained with us in 1996 and 2001 respectively. Last month we ran a “time to study” course for their daughter Mélanie, an engineering student who aims to work in motorsport. Mélanie is on the right of this family photograph with her sister Jennifer.

Quality system

As Sarah and Alex take over responsibility for course management we have an excellent opportunity to review our quality system, audit programme and external auditor. Course design and delivery are monitored on a daily and weekly basis, and there are wider-ranging audits every month, with a Quality Management System review and management report every six months. Bill and Sharon will be involved in these audits so that their experience remains embedded in the organisation. In the picture, we are looking at a central part of the system: the connection between needs analysis and course level and content.

Civil war re-enactment

Takahiko Tanimoto learnt how to load and fire a musket, and Sharon arranged an introduction to Town Councillor Sue Poole who gave our group a short talk on events in Malmesbury uring the English Civil War (1642-1651).
