Alex Morgan
Dr Alex Morgan

With 20 years’ HR, training and coaching expertise, Alex runs powerful and effective leadership and team development programmes with both global and UK based clients. These programmes make significant improvements in team communication and create effective international leaders and managers.

Alex’s recent projects include:

  • Leadership development and Intercultural team development with a global aerospace manufacturer in Thailand
  • International Communication training with international data science organisation in UK
  • International Communication training with various Japanese corporations
  • International Communication coaching with a number of senior global leaders
  • Doctoral research in the use of English as a Lingua Franca with Indian outsourced teams
  • Co-delivering Intercultural train the trainer with Fons Trompenaars of Trompenaars Hampden-Turner Consulting, a world-renown intercultural consultancy.
  • Leadership Development for NHS related organisations

Alex manages two training companies, True North and Abbey Communication and coaches and develops her team of  world-class trainers and coaches to help international managers perform at their best. Previously Alex was Head of Personnel/HR for a large direct marketing company, and led Leadership Development at a large health service organisation.

Alex has a Masters in Intercultural Communication, and has completed a Doctorate in the use of English in global teams. Alex is also a full member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. As a THT Licensee, Alex helps international clients successfully reconcile international leadership dilemmas with the THT’s Intercultural Awareness Profile, Dilemma Reconciliation Process and Intercultural Competence Profile.

In addition, Alex is an accredited Action Learning Facilitator, qualified at Levels A and B in psychometric testing, and is an NLP Master Practitioner.




Sarah Voller
Sarah Voller

Sarah spent four years in Spain working in retail and airfreight management and has managed projects in the tourism industry. She joined Abbey Communication in August 2006. A languages graduate, she also holds qualifications in translation, English language teaching (CELTA) and business studies. She gained a pass with distinction in her Certificate in International Business English Training in 2008. In 2010 she gained an MSc in Responsible Tourism Management with a project on host family accommodation for executives.

What are Sarah’s main areas of expertise?

With twenty years’ experience as an English language trainer, teaching in the UK and overseas. Sarah has considerable experience working with scientists, academics and members of the medical profession, helping them to develop international communication skills to communicate their research effectively with a wider audience.

What industry specific qualifications does Sarah have?

As well as a degree in Spanish, Sarah is a Certified Licensee with Trompenaars Hampden-Turner whilst also holding the DELE Superior for Spanish as a foreign language and the CIoL Diploma in Translation for Spanish to English. Moreover, as a result of living and working in Spain for a number of years, managing a business and completing teacher training there Sarah has successfully consolidated her interests and skills in intercultural communication.

What projects has Sarah been working on recently?

  • Developing communication skills in English in a Scientific Work workshop for Spanish medical professionals for presenting and networking at international conferences.
  • Presentation skills training for Cambodian students on MSc Sustainable Agriculture for UNICAM, a project implementing quality education and training in rural universities in Cambodia.
  • Scientific Outreach and Communication Skills training for University professors from Cambodia and researchers, teachers and stakeholders from University of Girona, Spain as part of the UNICAM project.
  • Trainer training in the area of Business English.
  • One-to-one coaching of a business professional, developing projects and creating opportunities to utilise her language and communication skills.
  • Business English training with various international corporations.
